I was sent home early today because of road conditions. Here are pictures of around our house. There are places with several feet of water. Here are just a few pictures you can use to get an idea of the water level. We have had 8.5 inches since last night.
The reeds are the normal water line. Those things sticking up are the utility boxes.
Once again the reeds are normal water line. the red line at the right is where the neighbors back patio starts.

you can see where the neighbor utility boxes used to be here. We have another wave coming in about an hour. If it gets worse I will post some more.

is it scary at all or is it just kind of crazy weird, sense we never get rain like that? Is this pretty normal for Wichita?
That is flippin crazy! Is this rain left over from the coastal hurricanes? Wow, what a lot of water!! Have the kids played in it yet, or is it dirty? Crazy!
